Fog-blurred photos from a day in Gettysburg, PA, checking another day trip off my D.C. bucket list. We spent the morning slowly driving through the 20+ mile self-guided car tour route, getting out at every observation tower to take in the rolling hills and fields. As rain started to sprinkle down, we went through "downtown" Gettysburg for lunch and coffee, then drove back to the national park grounds for the museum. The guide claimed it's "one of the best Civil War museums," and though every Civil War museum makes a similar claim, I do admit this one was quite good (and highly recommend stopping for the videos).
