President's Day Weekend, 2022
A cold, blustery, snowy long weekend in Pittsburgh. I spent the first two days exploring the North Shore, Strip District, and downtown, hitting the sites I'd been recommended by Pittsburgh-based coworker. Then Sunday I went off schedule and drove around a few neighborhoods in the central / eastern side of town — Edgewood, Wilkinsburg, Shadyside — and fell in love with the beautiful, old, crumbly homes with their huge front porches and ornate roofs, the narrow cobblestone streets, and the neighborhood cafes. I largely found the city "okay" rather than "great." I'd glad I finally made to Pittsburgh after years of it being on my "to visit" list, but I'm unlikely to make a repeat visit.
