We took two day trips by bus during our week in London, the first to Canterbury, the Cliffs of Dover, and Leeds Castle. We met up with our group at Victoria Station and were guided through the day by an enthusiastic Scottish woman who loved all things historical and royal. Each stop was relatively short -- none of the three locations are particularly close to each other -- but it was a good chance to get out of the city and see a bit more of England. The British countryside is particularly beautiful, and I wouldn't mind a chance to go back and visit more small towns in Kent.
