A Sister Weekend in DC | Part II

March 9-11, 2018

When I was staying in D.C. last summer, my sister came up for a flurry of a weekend visit filled with food and art. Now that I actually live in D.C. the weekend visits continue, this time being a quick trip over my sister's spring break. As she's already visited D.C. before and has seen all of the touristy stuff, the weekend was spent criss-crossing town on the metro in pursuit of more local foodie favorites. We ate at trendy D.C. essentials -- Founding Farmers, the District Doughnuts on Cady's Alley, Bluestone Lane, Junction, and Shake Shack -- and walked through Georgetown and the Hirshhorn. I don't eat out often, nor do I see my family very frequently anymore, so it was a nice weekend to catch up on family gossip and eat an abundance of food and have an excuse to go into the city on a weekend.
