Life Lately | October

October brings my favourite time of year - autumn. September may be the start of autumn, but in the South the weather doesn't start dropping until October (and even as I'm typing this it's still 80 degrees outside). The leaves haven't really started to change colour yet and days flip-flop between sweater weather in the morning and tank tops in the afternoon, yet there's a change in the air - a lack of extreme humidity, the occasional kick of the heater - to remind you that the holiday season is fast approaching and the end of the year almost here.

Despite the changes in the air, there hasn't been much change in my personal life. I'm still working towards graduation in 6 weeks(!!!), looking for jobs post-grad, balancing classes with an internship and a part-time job, maintaining friendships and letting others go. There's so much uncertainty in the future that I'm only focused on the present, and most of the time I feel stuck in it but there's only so much I can do to move forward until I have a future plan secured. It's a frustrating place to be, but I know it's only temporary. It'll pass sooner than I'm ready and I'll suddenly find myself in new territory with new responsibilities and challenges, and I'm oh so excited.
