Currently | Update No. 1

I've been in a creative rut these past few months; college takes up most of my focus and what remains gets pushed into work and friends. After spending the majority of my weeklong spring break on a cruiseship in the Bahamas where I was without internet/cell service/responsibilities, I felt like my internal drive had been reset. Now post-break, I'm ready to re-direct my focus to tackling new challenges and making some changes in my life routine. As a little marker, here's what I've been up to these days.

Doing // Checking items off my 2016 goals list. I've now traveled outside the country - posts coming soon - and I've gotten much better at replying to emails quickly. I'm still working on finishing Buffy the Vampire Slayer and some of the goals that take longer to complete, like saving up money and getting back into various exercise practices. Unfortunately I seem to have backtracked my progress on a few others; now that I work part-time I have even less time than before, making me more picky with how I spent it, and I've been entirely ignoring practicing German for the time being.

Aiming // I'm attempting to learn song lyrics so I can obnoxiously sing along with the rest of the crowds at concerts I have planned over the late spring/summer months.

Listening // I've been loving Låpsley's debut album "Long Way Home," and Aurora's debut "All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend." I've also been playing all of Hælos' songs on repeat in anticipation of their upcoming debut release.

Watching // My beloved Quantico is finally back from hiatus, and I've recently started London Spy and The Night Manager. I'm also slowly working my way through Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I'm currently at the end of season 3 - and am impatiently awaiting the release of Daredevil season 2 this Friday.

Reading // I, as always, have loads of books sitting around my room, and I'm currently working on "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson and "The Queen of the Night" by Alexander Chee.

Planning // Making summer break plans has thus far consisted of prioritising bands to see in concert and listing cities to visit on weekends. I'm hoping to do some more independent travels and make it to New England at least once. I've a few long-term goals as well - I want to make a multi-day trip up to NYC in the autumn and possibly down to Savannah again in October.
